Music has always been a big part of my life. My mom tells me stories of me singing long before a time that I can remember. I sang my first song in church when I was 3 years old, "The Little Birdie with the yellow bill." My dad was an amazing musician. He played every instrument you can imagine, and he was a great singer as well. He passed away when I was 5 and my mom said that I asked her to "teach me to play the piano like daddy" within 3 days after his funeral. Ever since I have been so drawn to music. It is a connection with your inner self that I just cant explain. It makes you feel free! After I got out of school I started playing in a local band with my cousin, Danny, and a few of his friends. When I joined the band as a lead singer and backup vocalist, we had no bass player. They are very hard to find around this area. It was under Danny's guidance and teachings that I learned how to play the bass in no time and we were off and running with our band, "The Hat Trick." We played rock n roll hits from the 70s, ranging from The Beetles to AC/DC and KISS. We had some fun times and I'll never forget them. I have since had to withdraw from the band because of changes in my life and a very hectic work schedule. I have done some recording in the studios for a few groups. My latest recording was done with Adam St.Laurent on his newly released CD, "Darkland." I've also done some backup vocals for the group "Tursi", singer and songwriter and great friend, Sandy Richter. Though I am no longer in an active band, there is hardly a day that goes by that my bass guitar doesn't get played and that my vocal cords don't get a workout. Rock n roll rules!!! Rock on!!! |
Here is a picture of Adam St.Laurent. This guy can play the guitar like you wouldn't believe. And when it comes to vocals, there is nobody that do a better job singing KISS songs and AC/DC tunes. This guy has been such a blast in the few short years that I have known him. He is such an intelligent person with a very big heart (though you may not think so from the looks of his picture) (sorry Adam). Adam: It was such an honor to be involved in your new CD! Thank you so much for asking me to do it. When I first heard the song I didn't think I would be able to pull it off, but with a little coaching we got through it, and I love the outcome! I don't think I have had that much fun in years! Danny tells me that you moved back to Tennessee last weekend (I went to see him yesterday). I miss you already! What an opportunity you have come across!!! I'm sooooooo proud of you Adam! You will definitely go far with your talent. Keep up the good works and don't forget to call and email on occasion. Good Luck and lots of love! (Solicit my name, will ya??? haha)
